Comprehensive Dental Care for All Ages

At Doctors Phipps, Levin, Hebeka, & Associates, we provide our patients with a wide range of comprehensive dental services. Our doctors have the skills and knowledge necessary to provide every patient with the care they need. With a warm and welcoming environment, our patients feel comfortable and can ask any questions they may have regarding their dental treatments.

The few services we do not offer are provided by many of the best specialists in our area, on our referral.

Services we offer include, but are not limited to:

Dental Exam

Routine Dental Cleaning

It is suggested that patients should be seen for a dental cleaning and routine exam every 6 months or as recommended by their dentist. During the cleaning, plaque and calculus will be removed from your teeth leaving behind a bright and polished smile. X-ray pictures may need to be taken to help detect not only cavities, but other medical and dental problems that may exist.

Periodontal Services

Though your mouth may feel healthy and you may not have any symptoms, periodontal disease often progresses slowly and without the patient being aware of the problem. If left untreated, periodontal disease can destroy the supporting structures of your mouth. This is why early treatment and prevention is so important! Our doctors and staff will make sure you are receiving the highest quality of care that will assist in preventing and treating periodontal disease.

Veneers

Veneers are thin porcelain or ceramic restorations that are applied and bonded to the front of your existing tooth structure. Porcelain veneers are an excellent choice for correcting gaps between teeth, crooked or misaligned teeth, or discoloration.

When properly applied to the tooth, a veneer is virtually undetectable. Due to its thin nature, the veneer will take on a natural coloration and allows us to be quite conservative in removing tooth structure.

Crowns and Bridges

Crowns are necessary when a tooth is severely damaged or has suffered from advanced decay and cannot be fixed with bonded filling material. Crowns cover the remaining tooth and restore its function, strength, and esthetics. Several crown material options are available and our doctors will discuss these on an individual basis depending on the area of the mouth that needs to be restored.

Bridges can be utilized when tooth loss occurs due to gum disease, decay, congenital problems, or injury. The loss of the tooth can create greater problems for your dental health if it is not corrected. The teeth next to the missing tooth (or teeth) can begin to shift and result in pain, misalignment, discomfort, as well as look unsightly. With bridges, your doctor will close any gaps in your mouth. A bridge is permanently cemented and helps to maintain the position of the rest of your teeth.

Dentures

Dentures

Complete dentures are used to replace a person's teeth when they are all missing. A partial denture replaces missing teeth when some natural teeth remain. Removable dentures are designed to restore the health, function, and beauty of your smile. They are crafted to fit your individual mouth as comfortably and snugly as possible. When in place, dentures can:

  • Help restore your ability to eat and speak
  • Replace your missing teeth
  • Prevent facial sagging
  • Improve the appearance of your smile

We can create and place your complete dentures in just a few visits. Your dentures will be custom made to look like natural teeth so that you can feel confident every time you smile. If you are missing teeth we invite you to call our office today to learn more about the benefits of dentures.

Endodontic Therapy (Root Canals)

Root canal therapy is needed when a cavity or tooth damage has reached the pulp of a tooth causing severe inflammation and/or infection of the nerve, or when severe trauma has affected the tooth. Regular checkups with your dentist may help to avoid and prevent the need for endodontic therapy, but once the pulp has become infected, it must be treated to avoid further issues since it cannot heal by itself. Some signs that a pulp is infected include sensitivity to hot or cold foods or temperature, sweets, liquids, or pressure. These signs are often accompanied by pain, swelling, or even a bad taste in the mouth. For some patients, no symptoms are obvious and they are unaware a problem even exists until they are seen by their dentist for an exam.

When endodontic therapy is performed, your dentist will cleanse the infected pulp, then disinfect the canals of the tooth. Once the area has been disinfected, the canals of the tooth are filled with a special material to seal off and prevent the tooth from further infections. Sometimes a core build-up, bonded post, and/or crown are necessary for restoring a tooth to function.
